These are catalog reference dimensions. Lamp and bracket dimensions can change with the selected voltage, power, cable interface or customized mounting arrangement. Request and approve the drawing for the ordered configuration before drilling or machining a mounting point.
Supply Scope and Installation Boundary
The standard product-page scope is one BL401-1 lamp with one separate mounting bracket. The flange sight glass is not included. If you also require a sight glass, Borlan Fluid can review it as a separate item after receiving the connection standard, size, materials and operating conditions.
The BL401-1 lamp is an external accessory. It does not contact the process medium and does not create the vessel pressure or vacuum seal. The sight glass, gasket, cover, bolts or clamp form that sealing boundary. This arrangement allows the lamp to be serviced without opening the vessel when the final mounting design keeps the lamp independent from the sealing components.
How to Confirm Bracket Compatibility
A product name or nominal sight glass size is not enough to guarantee that one bracket fits every installation. Before ordering, provide the outside diameter of the sight glass cover or flange, the mounting-bolt diameter, the distance from the bolt centre to the centre of the viewing window, and a side-view photo or drawing showing the available clearance.
Also state what the operator needs to observe, the vessel depth, the distance from the lamp to the window, and whether the contents are clear, cloudy or opaque. These details help determine the power, light color and mounting direction. Wattage alone does not define the useful illumination at the observation point.
Electrical and Area Classification Notes
For the standard low-voltage version, confirm whether the available source is AC or DC and identify the voltage before production. For a 36V or 220V request, Borlan Fluid will confirm the lamp and any required matched power arrangement. Always connect the delivered unit according to its nameplate and wiring document.
The BL401-1 described on this page is a standard non-explosion-proof sight glass light. Do not use it in a hazardous area based only on its stainless steel appearance.
